In a major step toward expanding its academic offerings, IIM Mumbai has announced the launch of its first undergraduate program. The institute will introduce a four-year Bachelor of Science (BS) in Digital Science and Business Management starting the upcoming academic year.
The course will begin at the Mumbai campus with an initial intake of 70 students. Admissions will be based on JEE Main scores and personal interviews, with a weightage of 70% for entrance scores and 30% for interviews.
The program is being offered in collaboration with IIT Bombay and industry partners. It is designed to combine advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, the Internet of Things, and robotics with core business disciplines like marketing, finance, and operations.
Director Manoj Tiwari said the course aims to prepare students for roles that bridge technology and management in today’s digital economy. The annual fee is expected to range between Rs 6-7 lakh.
Students completing the program will also have the option to pursue a one-year MBA, in line with the National Education Policy 2020.

The announcement was made during the institute’s convocation, where over 500 students graduated. Leaders including Ashishkumar Chauhan and Shashi Kiran Shetty attended the event.
The institute plans to expand further, with investments aimed at scaling capacity and strengthening its position as a leading center for innovation and education.
