Deloitte Inaugurates Quantum Innovation Hub at IIT Bombay
  • QCoDE launched to accelerate quantum adoption in India
  • Focus on research, enterprise use cases, and talent development
  • Supports National Quantum Mission and industry collaboration

Deloitte India has set up a new quantum technology facility at IIT Bombay to push forward innovation and practical use of quantum computing in the country. The center, called the Quantum Centre of Disruption for Enterprises (QCoDE), aims to help Indian businesses explore and adopt quantum technologies faster.

The facility is part of the ASPIRE IIT-Bombay Research Park Foundation and brings together industry experts, researchers, startups, and academic leaders. It will help enterprises move beyond experiments and start using quantum solutions in real-world applications.

Deloitte said the center will support companies in reducing risks linked to quantum investments. It will also guide them in building practical use cases and developing a skilled workforce ready for the future of quantum technology.

The initiative aligns with India’s National Quantum Mission and strengthens the country’s growing quantum ecosystem. According to Deloitte, organizations that begin working with quantum technologies early will gain an advantage as the technology matures.

The center will focus on several key areas, including advanced drug discovery and new material development using hybrid quantum and AI models. It will also work on improving supply chain and logistics through better optimization techniques. Another major focus will be quantum-safe cybersecurity to protect systems from future threats.

Deloitte also plans to help organizations build strong quantum strategies and create a workforce that understands quantum systems. The collaboration between industry and academia will play a key role in scaling these efforts.

The company emphasized that QCoDE will enable Indian enterprises to adopt quantum technologies early and at scale, supporting innovation across both private and public sectors.
