NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Allotment Results Released

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the NEET UG 2026 Round 2 seat allotment results on September 11, 2026, marking another key stage in admissions for undergraduate medical and dental programmes across India.

The results are available through the official MCC counselling portal.

Candidates can now check their allotted college and course details, along with the reporting instructions and deadlines for completing the next steps in the admission process.

Round 2 Counselling Covers Major Medical Seats

The second counselling round covers 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, along with seats in deemed universities, central universities, AIIMS institutions, Armed Forces Medical College and JIPMER Puducherry and Karaikal.

The process is based on candidates NEET UG ranks, category, submitted preferences and available seats.

MCC’s current-events page lists the UG Round 2 Counselling 2026 result and vacancy information, including newly added, clear and virtual vacancies for MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing programmes.

Candidates Move to the Admission Stage

Candidates who have received an allotment must now complete the required admission and reporting formalities at their allotted institutions between September 12 and September 18.

Institutions will subsequently verify the details of candidates who have joined, with verification scheduled for September 19.

The undergraduate academic session is scheduled to begin on September 15, making timely reporting particularly important for students who secure seats through this round.

MCC Highlights Result Verification

MCC has advised candidates to carefully check their allotment details. Its notice states:

“Candidates are advised to carefully check their provisional result.” - Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India

Candidates with discrepancies were directed to raise them through the Candidate Grievances and Query Redressal System within the specified deadline.

Additional Seats Expand Opportunities

Round 2 also brings additional opportunities for medical aspirants. Earlier in the counselling process, MCC announced 659 new seats across MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing programmes. These additions span several states and increase the number of options available to participating candidates.

The release of the Round 2 allotment marks an important transition from counselling to college admission. For students who receive their preferred course or institution, the next priority is completing document verification, fee payment and joining formalities within the prescribed timeline.

With the 2026–27 academic year now moving into its admission phase, the Round 2 results will determine the next group of students entering India's medical and dental education system.
