Kerala’s education technology wing, KITE, has introduced a QR code-based mobile application, KITE-QTrack, to ensure secure and transparent conduct of Higher Secondary examinations starting March 5. The app allows officials to track the entire exam process in real time, from opening question paper packets to sending answer scripts for evaluation.
All Chief and Deputy Chief Superintendents have been instructed to download the app from the Android Play Store and log in before March 4. During exams, officials must update each stage in the app, including scanning question paper packets, recording exam start and end times, and logging dispatch details for answer scripts. Any errors, such as scanning the wrong subject packet, are flagged instantly and recorded as an incident.
The platform also enables immediate reporting of malpractices or technical issues. Regional Deputy Directors receive dedicated logins to monitor processes statewide.

K Anvar Sadath, CEO of KITE, said this initiative is part of a broader effort to digitize the entire examination lifecycle, including admissions, post-exam services like duplicate certificates, revaluation, scrutiny applications, and secure online payments. District-level training for officials begins Monday, supported by KITE Master Trainers, with user guides and video tutorials available on the KITE VICTERS YouTube channel.
This move aims to strengthen accountability, minimize errors, and streamline student services through a fully integrated digital system.
