IIT Bombay has announced a new Certificate in Generative AI, aimed at helping professionals build practical skills in one of today’s fastest-growing technologies. The program is offered through the Technocraft Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence and delivered in collaboration with edtech firm Great Learning.
Designed by IIT Bombay faculty, the five-month online program follows a hands-on, industry-focused approach. It targets software engineers, data scientists, analysts, product managers, technology professionals, STEM graduates, and GenAI enthusiasts who want to design, deploy, and manage Generative AI systems in real-world settings.
According to Great Learning, the curriculum uses a large language model (LLM) first structure spread across five modules. Learners begin with core concepts in artificial intelligence and GenAI before moving on to prompt engineering, adapting models with proprietary data, and building copilot tools and multi-step workflows. The course ends with a strong focus on deployment, security, and scalability of GenAI solutions.
Participants will work on practical projects throughout the program to gain hands-on experience in building enterprise-ready AI applications. Those who complete the course successfully will receive a Certificate of Completion from IIT Bombay.
