The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has announced the timetable for the CS Executive and Professional December 2026 examinations. The exams will be conducted from December 21 to December 28, 2026, with a one-day break on December 25.
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has published the examination timetable for the Company Secretaries (CS) Executive and Professional Programmes for the December 2026 session. Candidates preparing for the exams can now check the detailed schedule released by the institute.
According to the notification, the examinations will be conducted from December 21 to December 28, 2026. All papers will be held in the afternoon session from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. Students will also receive an additional 15 minutes before the start of each examination to read the question paper.
The schedule has been prepared under the 2022 syllabus, with separate dates assigned to Executive and Professional Programme subjects.
The examination cycle will begin on December 21. Executive Programme students will appear for Jurisprudence, Interpretation and General Laws, while Professional Programme candidates will take the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) – Principles and Practice paper.
On December 22, Executive students will write the Capital Market and Securities Laws examination. Professional Programme candidates will appear for Strategic Management and Corporate Finance.
The next day, December 23, examinations will be held for Company Law and Practice under the Executive Programme and Drafting, Pleadings and Appearances under the Professional Programme.
On December 24, Executive candidates will take the Economic, Commercial and Intellectual Property Laws paper, while Professional Programme students will appear for Corporate Restructuring, Valuation and Insolvency.
ICSI has not scheduled any examination on December 25, giving students a break before the remaining papers.
The examinations will resume on December 26. Executive Programme candidates will appear for Setting Up of Business, Industrial and Labour Laws, while Professional Programme students will take Compliance Management, Audit and Due Diligence.
On December 27, the Tax Laws and Practice paper will be conducted for Executive Programme students. Professional Programme candidates will appear for Elective Paper 2.
The Professional Programme continues to offer several open-book elective subjects. These include:
- Arbitration, Mediation and Conciliation
- Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Corporate Tax Planning
- Labour Laws and Practice
- Banking and Insurance – Laws and Practice
- Insolvency and Bankruptcy – Law and Practice
The final examinations are scheduled for December 28. Executive candidates will take Corporate Accounting and Financial Management, while Professional Programme students will appear for Elective Paper 1.

Students can choose from a range of elective subjects under the Professional Programme, including:
- CSR and Social Governance
- Internal and Forensic Audit
- Intellectual Property Rights – Law and Practice
- Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics and Cyber Security – Laws and Practice
- Advanced Direct Tax Laws and Practice
- IFSCA Regulations, Listing and Compliances
The release of the timetable gives candidates sufficient time to plan their preparation strategy and organize revisions ahead of the examinations. Students are advised to carefully review the subject-wise schedule and ensure they are aware of the examination dates for their respective groups and papers.
