Guided by an MBA-educated practitioner with a teacher’s heart and a strategic vision from an IIM alumnus with over 27 years of leadership experience, the school marries research-driven pedagogy with compassionate practice.
Its campus, notable for an expansive outdoor playground and purpose-built learning spaces, reflects a deliberate choice to prioritize physical exploration, safety, and joyful discovery alongside focused curricular intent.
Personalized Learning for Every Child
Seekers Bay Preschool was born from personal frustration with one-size-fits-all preschool models and from a conviction that early education should begin with observing and understanding each child rather than imposing pre-determined outcomes.
It is this founding ethos that has led the school to design its curriculum with a focus on Montessori education and the Multiple Intelligences approach by Howard Gardner, enabling teachers to adjust the learning experience according to the natural interest of the child. For the school, it has achieved some major milestones since the inception of the first learning center.
It started functioning amid a pandemic with the adaptation of learning materials and approaches, the establishment of the second campus in 2023, partnership with employers for working parents, and designing a yearly review mechanism for the learning processes. The continuum for Seekers Bay Preschool’s program caters for toddlers, Playgroup, Nursery, and Kindergarten-aged children.
Each has been designed in a way that caters for their developmental requirements. The Toddlers’ program centers on developing secure attachments, sensory experiences, and fundamental practices for developing trust and autonomy.
The Playgroup program develops language-rich communication and social interactions using guided play and socialization experiences. The Nursery program begins to incorporate Montessori materials and problem-solving activities to advance focus hand-eye coordination, and beginning numeracy and literacy concepts.
The Kindergarten program prepares children for mainstream schooling using projects for social-emotional development and working with multiple intelligences for creative group projects. The progress of the child is tracked using individual profiles in each stage of this continuum.
It also conducts an event called ‘Parent Engagement Day’, in which each child showcases key montessori concepts to all parents, building confidence and enhancing presentation skills. Additionally, UKG children are trained to confidently give speeches during the ‘annual day’ and other events, further strengthening their communication and public speaking abilities.

Technology at Seekers Bay Preschool is deliberate and limited where it serves primarily as a tool for documentation, communication and teacher support while the classroom remains intentionally low-screen. Teachers use digital platforms to share daily stories, photos and assessment notes with families and to access a repository of activity plans and training modules.
In the classroom, hands-on materials and social interactions are still core to the learning process and organizational structure and ensure that non-screen-related sensory and physical experiences far outweigh those of the child in the daily routine. Staff induction and CPD are now strategic priorities; when hiring new staff, immersive induction includes Montessori approach and intelligence assessments and emotional regulation and inclusion modules.
Regular reflective sessions and annual curriculum reviews put the teachers into collaborative design cycles that ensure consistency and enable local adaptation at the same time. This focus on people is evident in the outcomes and stories of success that include significant vocabulary acquisition by children with speech delay within a span of a few months, the participation of reserved children in group endeavors with confidence, and home routines showing improvements following counseling sessions with the family and the counselor together.
The school’s support structure of classroom teachers, the counselor, and the advisory committee consisting of senior academicians provides for early and compassionate redressal of any grievance and personalized solutions for each child. “Our role is to craft environments where technology aids transparency and teachers reclaim time for real human connection”, says Preethi.
