CBSE schools hold immense importance in India’s educational framework. Known for their structured curriculum, CBSE based institutions emphasize conceptual clarity, academic discipline, and a holistic approach to learning.

They prepare students not only for board examinations but also for competitive national entrance tests, while ensuring balanced growth through co-curricular activities, life skills, and value-based education. For decades, Indian parents have trusted CBSE schools for maintaining uniform academic standards and nurturing students into confident, adaptable, and future-ready individuals.

Among the reputed institutions, Sanghamitra School stands as a remarkable example of education rooted in vision, values, and an unwavering belief in the infinite potential of every child. The true essence of its story began in 1983 with Arundathi(B.S.W., B.Ed., M.Ed., M.Phil.), the Founder, Secretary and Correspondent of Sanghamitra School and a lifelong educator devoted to nurturing children beyond mere academic achievement.

The Visionary Founder Behind Sanghamitra School

Arundathi’s journey into education began unexpectedly after personal loss and financial challenges altered her career path. Although she once aspired to work in Human Resources and Industrial Relations, circumstances led her to teaching.

She started as a kindergarten teacher, initially viewing it as a means of livelihood. Over time, she realized the profound responsibility a teacher carries, transforming her from a ‘salary teacher’ into a ‘committed educator’. She served for nine years in a reputed school in Hyderabad, rising steadily from teacher to Headmistress and Principal.

Later, due to health circumstances and motherhood, she stepped away from her role. Encouraged by her family, she set out with a pioneering vision to redefine what a school should truly represent. She believed education must never become a commercial proposition, but remain value-based, child-centric, and holistic.

Her philosophy was simple yet profound: every child is unique, and no single method of teaching can cater to all. Children, she felt, must be loved for who they are, not for marks or laurels, as unconditional warmth and respect form the foundation of meaningful learning.

With this deep-rooted belief, Sanghamitra School was founded on March 27, 1990, with the name Sanghamitra meaning ‘friend to society’, which reflects the institute’s larger purpose.

“The response to Sanghamitra School was overwhelming, and within just a few years, student strength multiplied. In 1993, the school shifted to its permanent campus on Nizampet Road, spread across 2.25 acres. Today, Sanghamitra School educates 1,826 students from Preschool to Grade 10, with recent approval for affiliation up to Grade 11.

The institution is supported by over 120 teachers and 40–50 support staff. With 28 batches successfully graduating, the school continues to maintain consistently strong academic results and steady growth”, shares Arundathi.

Having completed 35 years, the school has now grown into a vibrant institution committed to joyful learning, character development, co-curricular excellence, and nurturing responsible global citizens. Today, as Sanghamitra celebrates its Coral Jubilee Anniversary, it looks back with pride on a journey shaped by vision, compassion, and the transformative power of education.

Holistic Education blended with Value Driven Initiatives

Sanghamitra School promises a comprehensive, value based learning environment where daily routines, academic programs, and co-curricular activities work together to nurture well rounded students. “We follow a transparent and inclusive admission process through an online draw system.

The school does not conduct interviews or consider a child’s back ground, status, or privilege, believing that education and love must remain unconditional. With nearly 7,000 applications each year for limited seats, the virtual draw ensures complete fairness and equal opportunity for all”, adds Arundathi.

The school offers a vibrant and holistic educational environment where every child’s academic, emotional, and moral development is nurtured with care. Each day begins with structured morning assemblies conducted in Hindi, English, and Telugu, featuring prayer, affirmations, meditation, reflection, news reading, and Value-of-the Month talks. This daily rhythm builds discipline, positivity, and strong values.

Learning extends far beyond textbooks through enriching school- wide initiatives such as Nutrition Week, Teachers’ Talks, exhibitions, inter and intra-school
competitions, art-integrated projects, and educational field trips. These experiences promote creativity, confidence, and joyful, experiential learning.

A strong emphasis on values and social responsibility defines the school’s culture. Through Daan Utsav, NGO visits, inclusive Rakhi-making, eco-friendly Ganesha distribution, and the No Food Waste Initiative students develop empathy gratitude and civic responsibility.

NCC cadets actively contribute to national campaigns like Swachh Bharat through cleanliness rallies and awareness drives. The school also celebrates national spirit by honouring toppers and hosting Param Vir Chakra awardees who inspire patriotism.

Health, safety, and well-being are also prioritized with a dedicated nurse, First Aid Station, health camps, and emotional support through a Guidance and Counselling Programme led by a counselling psychologist.

The year 2025 marked a monumental milestone for Sanghamitra School as it celebrated its 35 years of inspiring educational excellence. The Coral Jubilee Anniversary was not only a moment of pride but also a step forward into an exciting new phase of growth and innovation.

Sustain ability is deeply embedded through solar energy, rainwater harvesting, recycling initiatives, responsible waste management, and eco-conscious celebrations, earning national recognition.

Personalised attention is a hallmark of Sanghamitra, with continuous monitoring of student work, motivational awards, and a confidential Student Helpline Box ensuring every child feels supported.

Growing with Purpose and Vision

The year 2025 marked a monumental milestone for Sanghamitra School as it celebrated its 35th year of inspiring educational excellence. The Coral Jubilee Anniversary was not only a moment of pride but also a step forward into an exciting new phase of growth and innovation.

As part of its future-focused journey, the school has successfully launched its Pre-School, creating a strong foundation for early childhood learning. In alignment with the New Education Policy, which emphasizes 15 years of schooling, Sanghamitra School is also expanding into senior secondary education with the introduction of Grade 11, and plans to extend into Grades 11 and 12.

Several new initiatives are being introduced, including enhanced skill-based learning programs, advanced digital tools, virtual learning experiences, and dedicated Skill Based Labs for vocational training. Sustainability and eco projects are also being strengthened, reflecting the school’s commitment to responsible citizenship.

Looking ahead, Sanghamitra School’s key priorities include social-emotional learning, continuous teacher upskilling, and preparing students for the future with confidence and competence.

True to its values, the school remains committed to quality over expansion, choosing not to open branches or franchises because education, for Sanghamitra School, is about nurturing individuals - not building a business.
