Engineering education is undergoing a profound transformation as Artificial Intelligence, automation, sustainability and interdisciplinary innovation redefine the skills required for the future workforce. Institutions are no longer expected to simply impart technical knowledge; they are increasingly tasked with nurturing innovators, problem-solvers, entrepreneurs, and technology leaders capable of thriving in an Industry 5.0 ecosystem.

Against this backdrop, MIT Art, Design and Technology (MIT ADT) University has established itself as one of India's progressive engineering institutions, combining academic excellence with experiential learning, research, and industry engagement to prepare students for the evolving global technology landscape.

Strengthening this vision further, the university has launched its dedicated School of Artificial Intelligence, introducing specialized B.Tech programmes in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence & Data Science. These programmes are designed to equip students with future-ready skills required to lead the rapidly expanding AI-driven digital economy.

A Vision Built on Innovation

MIT ADT University's journey is guided by the visionary leadership of Founder Dr. Vishwanath Karad, whose philosophy has shaped an academic ecosystem that seamlessly integrates technology, design thinking, research, entrepreneurship, and practical learning. Building on this strong foundation, Prof. Dr. Mangesh T. Karad, Executive President, has further strengthened the university's focus on innovation-led engineering education, global collaborations, industry integration, and student-centric research initiatives.

The institution also benefits from the strategic guidance of Prof. Dr. Sunita Karad, Executive Director, whose continued efforts have played an important role in enhancing academic excellence, institutional development, and holistic student growth.

Today, the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences offers a comprehensive portfolio of future-focused programmes spanning Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Marine Engineering, Bioengineering, Food Technology, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Robotics & Automation, Electric Vehicle Technology, Data Science, Cyber Security, Environmental Engineering, and Smart Manufacturing. Its multi -disciplinary curriculum enables students to explore emerging domains such as Artificial Intelligence, AR/VR, Blockchain, Web3, Drone Technology, Electric Mobility, Industrial Automation, and Sustainable Engineering.

Engineering Innovation Through Experiential Learning

A defining characteristic of MIT ADT University's engineering education is its strong emphasis on experiential learning. Students are encouraged to move beyond conventional classroom instruction and actively engage in solving real-world engineering challenges through project-based learning, innovation platforms, and collaborative research.
“The university has established advanced laboratories, robotics centres, drone labs, automotive workshops, maker spaces, and innovation hubs that provide students with hands-on exposure to emerging technologies. Regular participation in hackathons, design competitions, innovation conferences, startup incubation programmes, and technical exhibitions further strengthens their ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical solutions”, speaks Prof Dr. Mangesh T. Karad, Executive President and Vice Chancellor, MIT-ADT University, Pune.

Industry collaborations and technical partnerships complement this ecosystem by offering internships, certification programmes, live industry projects, and research opportunities that help students build both technical expertise and professional competence.
